Huts payments
How to pay for a stay in one of the huts
To pay for a hut stay, please use one of the following two options:
-
Pay by bank transfer directly into the club bank account - this is by far the preferred method nowadays.
-
The bank account details are:
'Edinburgh JMCS' might work, but under new payee name checks by the banks you might need to type in the full account name as above.
-
NB when making a transfer please use the reference code supplied by the hut custodian when you booked.
A lot of payments go into the JMCS bank account and this code is the only thing that enables the treasurer to keep track of who all the incoming payments on the bank statements are from and what they are for.
-
When you have made the payment:
-
please email back the payment form that the custodian will have sent you, saying how many bednights you are paying for and how much you have paid;
-
if you have a key, please return it to the custodian.
-
Send a cheque, payable to 'Edinburgh JMCS', to the hut custodian (addresses are on the relevant huts pages), together with the completed payment form and the key.
NB Please do not 'merge' different transactions
(for example, a huts payment and a subs payment) into the same payment.
Each transaction will have its own reference, and having these attached to separate payments on the bank statements makes life much easier for the Treasurer and the Auditor when doing the accounts at the end of the year and trying to figure out what payments (probably made many months earlier) relate to.
