The Edinburgh JMCS is an active club based in central Scotland with a growing membership. We warmly welcome new members!

We do ask that you are over 18, and it’s important you are a safe belayer.

Why join?

Active membership

We have over 100 members (and growing), most of whom are active and enthusiastic climbers and mountaineers.

We use a WhatsApp Community to arrange formal and informal climbs.

We do also use email and actually talk in person too!

Meets

We have weekly climbing meets at Ratho EICA and other local walls, regular weekend meets and a monthly social get together.

Club Huts

We have two fantastic club huts that members get preferential access too at a discounted rate. The Cabin is based near Laggan, and the Smiddy is in Dundonnel.


Discounted Courses

We provide subsidised access to climbing and mountaineering courses, through affiliated guides, coaches and Mountaineering Scotland. Check out our events page for upcoming courses.

reciprocal Hut Access

We also have reciprocal arrangements with the SMC, Fell and Rock and Oread clubs, so members can use their huts.
